The Dropout Patrol
The Dropout Patrol ist seit 2001 das Soloprojekt von Jana (Petethepiratesquid, Ex Best Friends) aus Berlin. Mittlerweile ist daraus eine „richtige“ Band geworden, aktuell als Trio/Quartett mit Mitgliedern von Radio Burroughs, Ex-Magic Of The Rainbow, und -Kids Explode). Vergleiche zu den frühen Cat Power, Pavement, Songs:Ohia oder auch Karate lassen sich ziehen. Im Jahr 2012 wird ihre Debüt-LP erscheinen.

Four men sink into the sound of their instruments. Instead of great poses here grow sonic mountains between drums, guitar, bass and electronics. – The different musical socialization of the Würzburg band does not create any genre clash, it grows somethin new. The bandmembers can agree on something like „post-rock“.”The Wind-Up Robots Killed My Cat” create music, which that can be restrained as well as tempered. Guitars make the Wall of Sound rise up and sink down in the storm again. They have learned by British artists like Mogwai, Icelanders, Swedes and aging Americans. Behind and above the band visuals are a very important part as well as the electronics and strings. The proof is there: The robots can do more.
Young Hare
Young Hare sind zu zweit. Marc & Phil. Kommen aus Frankfurt am Main, sind musikalisch miteinander groß geworden und nun geht es mit dem neuen Projekt ganz schnell: die erste 4song EP ist draussen, eine geplante Tour Anfang 2012 und neue Songs. Young Hares Musik oszilliert irgendwo zwischen Dreampop, Post-Punk, Tropical und Kraut. ‚Bringing summer back‘ – ähnlich wie Washed Out oder Wild Nothing zaubern sie sofort Erinnerungen an sonnige Tage hervor, und dann kommen noch die Justin Timberlake Momente… Young Hare haben einen Louis Vuitton Koffer mit Gitarre, Synths, MPC, Maracas und Shakern im Gepäck und sind vor allem beste Typen.
